Students can be taught how to use evaluation criteria to critique, give feedback, and reflect on their own and peer’s performance.
Example:
Students are given a rubric and protocols for giving feedback and then asked to look at each others’ work and give actionable and meaningful suggestions. Then, having received that feedback, students are asked to evaluate their own work and revise before grading.
