Offering students multilingual writing scaffolds grants them linguistic access to a task as well as the linguistic supports necessary to complete the task.

Example:

Provide students with multilingual sentence frames even though the expectation is for target language production. By providing multilingual scaffolds you give the student an opportunity to enact independence while also having target language exposure and content area development.
