Give students an outline with some words missing to help keep students on task and promote comprehension.

Example:

During a lecture or presentation, a teacher can provide a copy of their notes with certain key words omitted. Then students can listen for the missing words during the presentation and fill in blanks. This can be a helpful alternative to expecting students to take notes independently or copying notes from a board in their entirety.
