During the learning process, make efforts to encourage student involvement and create a sense of personal responsibility.
Example:
“This was your personal best reading log. Keep using the strategies we learn in class. I can see your understanding improving through your notes.”
“It’s important that we hear questions from as many people as possible. It’s the questions that scientists ask that decide what research they will do next.”
